I make things with a camera
Photography, drone piloting and editing, and a travel channel I have run for years. It started as a hobby and quietly became half my professional toolkit.
youtube.com/@WhereMyFeetGotoday
Landscape, travel and astrophotography on a Sony A7III. Composition and light are the same problem in an ad creative as in a photograph, which is why marketers who shoot tend to brief better.
Aerial footage for travel films. Flying legally in the UK means knowing the airspace rules, the registration requirements and where you genuinely cannot fly, which is its own small discipline.
Cutting, colour and sound for the channel. Every short-form video decision I make professionally was learned here first, on my own footage, at my own expense.
Watch it here. A travel channel I write, shoot, fly, edit and publish myself. It is also the honest testing ground for everything I claim about content: thumbnails, retention, packaging and what audiences actually watch rather than what they say they want.
What I will defend
- Fix measurement before spending anything
- Optimise to be quoted, not just ranked
- Report what failed alongside what worked
- Refuse tactics that need hiding from the customer
- Say which claims I can evidence and which I cannot
Each costs something. Fixing tracking delays a launch. Reporting failures loses the comfort of a good-news deck. I think the trades are worth it, and I would rather disagree about that early than discover it in month four.
